"Only through the strengthening of faith can one gain in Torah study, prayer, righteousness, and repentance," writes Rabbi DovBer, the Mitteler Rebbe, in the introduction to his two classic discourses on the foundation of faith and the oneness of G-d.
This volume consists of two works of the Mitteler Rebbe: Shaar Haemunah, which discusses the mitzvah to believe in G-d, and Shaar Hayichud, which explores the mitzvah to accept G-d's unity.
The Frierdike Rebbe states that Shaar Ha'emunah was written for Maskilim, and that Shaar Hayichud, the key to Torat Hachassidut, was written for all Chassidim (Kuntres Limud Hachassidut, 30).
Edited by Alexander Ziskind Piekarski, this edition includes Reb Hillel Paritcher's commentary of Shaar Hayichud, as well as indices, endnotes and corrections of previous editions.
