The two volumes include the Rebbes conversations, letters and public talks during the mourning periods for his father (Rabbi Levi Yitzchak), father-in-law (the Rebbe Yosef Yitzchak), brother (Yisrael Aryeh Leib), mother (Rebbitzen Rivka) and wife (Rebbitzen Chaya Mushka) and records of his visits and letters of consolation to others.

Includes the Rebbes remarks on the tragic and shocking events that have afflicted the Chassidic community and the Jewish people as a whole, appreciation of the lives that were lost, and the lessons for the survivors.
